Orthodontic Expanded Functions

Service Description

Fees: $950 fee includes $100 nonrefundable registration fee, DANB practice exam questions to prepare for the state board exam and learning materials. This course is for dental assistants who want to prepare for the orthodontic Dental Assistant National Board Exam (DANB). Students will receive hands on training learning how to place ortho appliance on a manikin in a fully equip dental laboratory, students will receive hands on training learning how to use instruments and take impressions of teeth for study models to make orthodontic appliance, Invisalign, and night guards. Learn hoe to apply brackets and wires. The employing dentist must sign the application verifying employment. Class meet for 7 weeks on a Saturday 9am-2pm or Monday /Wednesday 6pm-9pm 35 hours of class time This class includes 35 hours of class time with a combination of lecture and hands-on training in the fully equipped dental laboratory. After completing this class, the student will be eligible to sit for the Dental Assistant National Board. Once the course is completed, the assistant may NOT continue to perform these duties until the required boards are passed and state certificate received. Requirement: 18 years of age, high school diploma or equivalency, and a dentist to verifying employment. *Student who have less that 1 year experience will need a more class time learning basic skills to understand duties.
