Service Description
$2,100 plus a $100 registration fee, lab equipment, and practice questions to prepare students to take the DANB. This class will teach students how to: Demonstrate understanding of preliminary physical examination, diagnostic aids, treatment documentation. Identify medical conditions that can cause medical emergencies or cause complications during dental care Identify basic oral and dental anatomy, and physiology. Master the skills of charting and treatment planning. Demonstrate understanding of patient management and oral health information to be provided to the patient. Demonstrate understanding of impression, restorative/dental and laboratory materials and procedures. Demonstrate understanding of four-handed dentistry technique, select and prepare tools for chairside dental and/or emergency dental procedures, assist with performing intraoral procedures. (THIS CLASS DO NOT INCLUDE RADIOLOGY) This class includes 35 hours of class time with a combination of lecture and hands-on training in the fully equipped dental laboratory. After completing this class, the student will be eligible to sit for the Dental Assistant National Board. Once the course is completed, the dental assistant may NOT continue to perform these duties until the required boards are passed and state certificate received.
