(35hr) five week course lecture online and in class hands on training. This course is for dental assistants who want to prepare for Expanded Function Dental Assistant National Board Exam (DANB) Students will be taught: Coronal polishing ( only to remove stain or biofi lm in connection with a dental prophylaxis and before a dentist performs an estethic or cementation procedure) Placing dental sealants Monitoring nitrous oxide by observing a patient Applying silver diamine fl uoride Assisting in orthodontic procedures Preparing and fi tting stainless steel crowns Taking alginate impressions for intraoral appliances Placing or removing a matrix band Preparing temporary crowns Cementing temporary crowns or restorations Performing vitality tests Placement of temporary restorations Removing temporary crowns Removing excess cement Fabricating athletic mouthguards,
