This course is for dental assistants who want to prepare for Expanded Function Dental Assistant National Board Exam (DANB) Students will be taught: Coronal polishing ( only to remove stain or biofi lm in connection with a dental prophylaxis and before a dentist performs an estethic or cementation procedure) Placing dental sealants Monitoring nitrous oxide by observing a patient Applying silver diamine fl uoride Assisting in orthodontic procedures Preparing and fi tting stainless steel crowns Taking alginate impressions for intraoral appliances Placing or removing a matrix band Preparing temporary crowns Cementing temporary crowns or restorations Performing vitality tests Placement of temporary restorations Removing temporary crowns Removing excess cement Fabricating athletic mouth guards,
